Gymie helps you train and helps gyms run. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why. We never sell your personal data and we don’t show ads.

What we collect

  • Account: your name and email (or your Apple or Google sign-in), and your mobile number if you add it so your gym can match your membership.
  • Training profile: goal, experience, schedule, equipment, body weight if you enter it, and any pain or injury areas you choose to tell us — used only to build a safe plan.
  • Workouts: sessions, sets, weights, reps, swaps, readiness answers and discomfort reports you log.
  • Watches and rings (optional): if you connect Garmin, Oura, Whoop, Polar, Strava, Health Connect or Apple Health, we read sleep, resting heart rate, HRV and workouts to tune your plan. We never write to them. Disconnect any time in the app.
  • Gym activity: if you belong to a gym that uses Gymie — check-ins, tag taps, membership, invoices and payments, shared with that gym.
  • Purchases: if you buy Gymie Pro, the App Store or Google Play handles payment; we receive only whether your subscription is active and when it renews (through our subscription processor, RevenueCat). Gym fees you pay online go through your gym’s own payment provider (for example Razorpay or Stripe); we see the amount and status, never your card or bank details.
  • Referrals: who invited whom, so rewards can be given.
  • Device: app version, crash information and basic usage events to fix bugs and improve the product.
  • Enquiries: name, phone and details you submit on this website, to contact you about what you asked for.

What we don’t collect

  • Gymie never uses your camera or microphone.
  • We don’t track your location. NFC tags only tell us which gym machine or door you tapped.
  • We don’t use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Who sees it

Your gym (if you are a member of a gym on Gymie) sees your membership, attendance, payments and a summary of your training so its staff can help you; trainers don’t see payment details. If you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to Gymie, that assistant can read what you ask it to, using your permission, until you disconnect it. Service providers process data on our behalf under contract: hosting (DigitalOcean, in India), email (Resend), voice recordings (ElevenLabs — script text only, no personal data), subscriptions (RevenueCat, Apple, Google) and wearable connections (our own Open Wearables server). We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

Messages

We send sign-in and account emails (like confirming your email or resetting your password) and, if you or your gym ask for it, messages about your plan, membership or trial. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.

Your choices

  • Export your training data from the app at any time (Me → Export my data).
  • Delete your account in the app (Me → Delete account) or as described on gymie.app/delete-account. This erases your profile, training, health answers and connections. Your gym may keep its own membership and billing records, as the law requires.
  • Correct your details in the app, or write to hello@gymie.app.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, gym payment keys are encrypted at rest, and servers are in India. We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is erased immediately from the live system and from backups within 14 days, except records we must keep by law.

Health information

Pain, injury, sleep and heart-rate information is used only to adjust your plan. Gymie gives general fitness guidance and is not a medical service.

Children

Gymie is for adults (18+). We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
